Art100-86, Summer 2011, Drawing I Assignments Due Monday, June 27th. Create a full-page, finished line drawing of a group of 2 or 3 small objects. Due Monday, July 11th. A full page of multiple studies of one object. Due Monday, July 18th. A nice full page, one- point perspective drawing of your bedroom. Due Monday, July 25th. Another domestic interior, this time of your kitchen.
Use only a 2H pencil and minimal erasing.
Pay attention to accuracy and line quality.
Choose an object that is man-made, and is structurally based on cylinders,
planes, or a combination of both.
Choose something that will be challenging but not overwhelming,
something that you need practice on.
Draw it from many viewpoints, turning it, etc. just as you were doing in class.
The important thing is to understand how the parts fit together and how they are moving in space.
See you Monday. And try to stay out of trouble.
Pay attention to where the horizon line and vanishing point should be.
Build it out of simple forms, then add detail.
If you missed the nice lecture and demo on Wednesday night, well I guess there goes your grade.
Have a good weekend.
Once again, stick to one point perspective.
Once again, please find your horizon line (eye level)
and the vanishing point(s).
Build with simple forms. Details come last.
Those of you who have not completed earlier homework should do that also.
